ESSEN - Gobeil an der Folkwang Universität 22.04.2010

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, liebe Freunde,

wir freuen uns sehr, am 22.4. den kanadischen Komponisten Gilles Gobeil bei
uns an der Folkwang Universität begrüßen zu können. Er wird um 18:00 im
Kammermusiksaal der Folkwang Hochschule einen Vortrag zum Thema "Kino für
die Ohren" halten, und dann im Anschluss um 20:00 in der Neuen Aula ein
Konzert mit eigenen Werken geben.

Gilles Gobeil ist sicher einer der wichtigsten Komponisten
elektroakustischer Musik unserer Zeit und gilt als Mit"erfinder" einer
Musik, die als "Kino für die Ohren" bekannt geworden ist. Er hat über 20
nationale und internationale Preise gewonnen, darunter alle wichtigen
Preise für elektroakustische Musik.

we are pleased to announce that we will host the composer Gilles Gobeil at
the Folkwang University on April 22nd. He will give a lecture about "Cinema
for the Ear" at 6 pm in the Kammermusiksaal as well as a concert with his
own works at 8 pm in the "Neue Aula"

He is one of the most important composers of electroacoustic music of our
time and is regarded as one of the inventors of what is known as "Cinema
for the Ears". He won more than 20 national and international prizes and
competitions, including all important prizes for electroacoustic music.
