"Peaks and edges of contemporary arts"

The Foundation Destellos calls for proposals for the
first International Conference of Aesthetics, to be held on 22 to 24
October in Mar del Plata, Argentine.
The conference is framed into the XII Journeys of
Aesthetics and history of the Theatre of Mar del Plata, organised by
GIE (Group of research in aesthetics) and supported by the University
of Mar del Plata and the Conicet (National Conceal of scientific and
technologic researches).
Into the extended field of aesthetics, the Foundation
Destellos proposes to go deep into the arts using new technologies
(electroacoustic music, video music, installations and other multi-
media expression).
The call for submissions is open to composers,
musicologists, performers, video artists, organizations of concerts
and other artistic events, who want to present propositions linked to
aesthetic, philosophic and practice aspects of digital arts.
The suggested interest areas are:
-· Description of creative process
-. Theories on Aesthetics
-· The performer and the interpretation of contemporary music
-· Aesthetics of image in relation with sound
-· Aesthetics of collaborative projects of creation in the net
-· The function of sound in installations
-· The relation of public with multimedia arts
-· Analysis of electroacoustic and multimedia works

Guidelines and dates:
1) Abstracts (max. 250 words) must be sent till 15th july
2009
2) Full papers (max.2500 words) must be sent till 15th
august 2009 – Although the duration of each paper will be 20 minutes
3) Papers can be given in English, Spanish or French
4) All documents must be sent as attachment in RTF or
Word formats (pdf format is not accepted), in Times New Roman 12,
headed with Title, your name, organisation affiliation (if any), and
email address.
5) To indicate the technical requirements for presentation.
All submissions will be subject to review by an
international panel and acceptance decision will be emailed to
applicants into the deadline. At least one of the authors must present
the paper at the conference. All participants (including lecturers)
must pay the registration fee.
The paper should be ready for publication if the proposal
is accepted. The proceedings will be ready in digital format with ISBN
register, at the beginning of the congress.
Registration fees:
General: 150 U$ by Paypal*
Early Registration until July 30th, 2009 : 110 U$ by Paypal
Members of the Foundation Destellos** : 40 U$ by Paypal
* The payment by Paypal will be made by email. The candidates must ask
