JTTP 2009 Results
The CEC is pleased to announce the results of the 10th edition of JTTP.
This year, the CEC collaborated with Germany's national electroacoustic
association, DEGEM. The 2009 edition of the project was therefore open to
young and/or emerging sound artists/composers from (or living in) either
Canada or Germany.
The CEC and DEGEM wish to congratulate the composers whose submissions were
selected as the top placing works (in order of placement) by an
international jury:
CANADA
1. Olivier Girouard -- Suite_04 (18:47 / 2009)
2. Yota Kobayashi -- Kakusei (12:05 / 2009)
3. Christopher Mclean -- Bébelles (8:21 / 2009)
4. Guillaume Barrette -- Syncrétisme (7:28 / 2009)
5. Félix Lachance -- Manège I (5:49 / 2009)
GERMANY
1. Florian Hartlieb -- Im vorderen Zimmer des hinteren Raums (12:16 /
2009)
2. Oliver Peters -- Transkript 18 (19:26 / 2009)
3. Alexander Schubert -- Nachtschatten (12:00 / 2008)
4. Nicolas Wiese -- Vertikalzeit (14:44 / 2008)
5. Jonas Foerster -- Echoes of Urban Life (6:08 / 2008)
eContact! 12.1 (JTTP 2009) is now online!
Each year one issue of eContact! is dedicated to highlighting the JTTP
project. Programme notes and sound files of all submissions are featured.
The prizes, jury members and project partners are also announced in this
issue. The focus issue is now online at http://eContact.ca , enjoy the
listening and reading!
Official Launch and Radio Broadcast/Webcast -- Top JTTP Works
Eliot Handelman is once again hosting the official release of the JTTP
results, and will be joined by some of the winners for the occasion.
Several international radio personalities (in Canada, USA, France, Chile,
Czech Republic and Russia) have also committed to programming works from
the competition in the coming months.
