The Role
Goldsmiths Department of Computing and Department of Music are jointly seeking to appoint a lecturer to lead Goldsmiths‘ innovative new Music Computing programme, which fuses music technology and computer science topics in creative ways.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing and delivering courses at HE level with a significant focus on computer music, music software development, musical instrument design, electronic music production, recording techniques and digital signal processing. Familiarity with creative coding environments such as Supercollider, Max/MSP and Pure Data is essential.
Research experience at postgraduate level inthe fields of human computer interaction (HCI), music technology, and abackground in the professional sound industries is highly desirable. Furthermore, experience in areas including audiovisual media, contemporar ymusic and performance, computational musicology, music information retrievaland machine learning is recommended.
