Das ZKM | Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie ist eine Stiftung
des öffentlichen Rechts und hat die Aufgabe, als Einrichtung der
Forschung, der Kulturvermittlung und der Weiterbildung, eine
umfassende Auseinandersetzung mit Kunst und Medientechnologie zu
ermöglichen.
Zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt ist im Institut für Musik und Akustik
die Stelle eines/r
künstlerisch/wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiters/in
im Bereich Softwareentwicklung zu besetzen.
Zu den Aufgaben gehört die Durchführung von Entwicklungsprojekten in
den Bereichen experimenteller Musik, Musikinstallationen, Datenbanken,
interaktive Environments und insbesondere die Fortsetzung des
Projektes Zirkonium (www.zkm.de/zirkonium
) sowie die Betreuung kompositorischer
Projekte. Kenntnisse in Multimediaprogrammierung, Netzwerkumgebungen,
Klangsynthese, Raumsimulation, Betriebssysteme: iOS/ Android,
Unix/MacOSX/Linux, Programmiersprachen: Objective C, C++, Java,
JavaScript, Max/MSP/Jitter, Pd, SuperCollider, OpenGL werden erwünscht.
Teamfähigkeit, Eigeninitiative und Interesse an der interdisziplinären
Zusammenarbeit sind ebenso notwendig wie ein den Erfordernissen
entsprechendes abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium verbunden mit
Erfahrungen in den genannten Aufgabenbereichen. Darüber hinaus
erwarten wir gute englische Sprachkenntnisse.

education it has the purpose of facilitating a comprehensive
engagement with art and media technology.
The Institute for Music and Acoustics has a vacancy for an
artistic/scientific assistant
in software development, to be filled at the earliest possible date.
This post is responsible for the realization of development projects
in the areas of experimental music, music installation, databases, and
interactive environments, with a particular emphasis on the
continuation of the project Zirkonium (www.zkm.de/zirkonium
) and the support of compositional
projects. Skills in multimedia programming, network environments,
sound synthesis, spatial simulation, operating systems: iOS/Android,

A capacity for teamwork, individual initiative, and an interest in
interdisciplinary collaboration are requisite as much as a university
degree conforming with the requirements together with experience in
the areas of responsibility mentioned. In addition, we expect a good
knowledge of the English language.
We offer an interesting and varied occupation in public service at one
of the internationally leading cultural institutions in the area of
media art. As a part of a young team of colleagues, the successful
candidate can expect a good working atmosphere. The salary will be in
accordance with the TVöD (collective agreement for the public service)
and the skill and experience of the respective candidate. The position
is limited to 2 years.
