Der Komponist und Theoretiker Marc Battier, derzeit Edgard-Varèse-
Gastprofessor des DAAD am Fachgebiet Audiokommunikation, stellt eigene
Arbeiten vor.

The presentation will focus on some of my recent music. This includes
a series of pieces around nine painting by surrealist painter Roberto
Matta. All the sounds were derived from the painting, and I will
briefly explain the process. This work was published on a CD and there
is a short videomusic which will be performed. I also have been
writing pieces of mixed electroacoustic music for Asian instruments
and electroacoustic, and recent pieces will be played, including, if
time allows, for shakuhachi, for pipa and for guqin. I am currently
writing a new piece for pipa and a piece for koto.
