Current Musicology
Call For Papers for a Spring 2011 Special Issue
„Post-Socialist Pop, Music, and Sound Cultures“:
The spring issue of Current Musicology (91) will be a special issue
devoted
to scholarship
about the intersections of music, sound, and popular culture in
post-socialist nations.
We invite submissions from scholars working in music disciplines as
well as
Slavic and
East-Central European studies, European studies, history, comparative
literature,
anthropology, and other related fields.
We are interested in works addressing music, sound, and popular
culture in
East and Central European nations and among East and Central European
peoples as
placed in dialogue with topics such as, but not exclusive to: cultural
policy; memorials,
memory, and forgetting; nationhood, citizenship and migration; and new
media
and
modes of circulation.
Deadline is January 15, 2011. Please see the Current Musicology

guidelines (we follow Chicago and author date citation style).
