Das Goethe-Institut Belgrad, das ZKM | Institut für Musik und Akustik Karlsruhe, Götz Naleppa (Regisseur und Medienkünstler), das Dritte Programm von Radio Belgrad, die Ars Acustica Gruppe der European Broadcasting Union sowie Deutschlandradio Kultur laden Sie herzlich zur Teilnahme an folgendem Projekt ein:
EUROPA – EIN KLANGPANORAMA
Europäische KlangkünstlerInnen sind aufgerufen, einen Beitrag zu komponieren, der akustische Eindrücke eines von ihnen auszuwählenden Ortes / einer Landschaft in Europa in künstlerischer Form verarbeitet. Die Beiträge sollen nicht länger sein als 5 Minuten. Ziel ist die Erstellung einer Klangkomposition, die einen Eindruck von den Besonderheiten der verschiedenen Teile Europas vermittelt.
Die Kompositionen sollten folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:
• Genre: elektroakustische Musik / radiophone Klangkunst
• Thema: Klänge von Ortschaften und/oder Landschaften aus Europa
• Dauer: bis 5 Minuten
• Format: mp3 – 192 kbit/s
• Abgabetermin: 15. Februar 2011
Eine Jury wählt die zehn besten Beiträge bis April 2011 aus und lädt deren KomponistInnen vom 17. – 22. Oktober 2011 zu einem Workshop nach Karlsruhe ein.
Gemeinsam mit dem Workshopleiter (Thomas Köner, vielfach ausgezeichneter Klang- und Medienkünstler) erarbeiten die TeilnehmerInnen aus ihren Beiträgen ein „europäisches Klangpanorama“, das ein künstlerisches Ganzes bildet, dessen Teile jedoch weiterhin in ihrer Verschiedenheit und Einzigartigkeit erkennbar bleiben.
Die zehn Einzelkompositionen sowie die Gesamtkomposition werden am 22. Oktober 2011 im ZKM sowie an weiteren Orten aufgeführt und von den beteiligten Radiostationen übertragen. Das Klangkunstwerk „Europäisches Klangpanorama“ entsteht als Ergebnis eines interkulturellen Austauschs über die Wahrnehmung Europas.
Für die Ursendung des Klangpanoramas auf Deutschlandradio Kultur erhalten die KünstlerInnen ein gesondertes Sendehonorar. Alle weiteren Ausstrahlungen sind für die Mitglieder der EBU kostenfrei. Durch Einreichung ihrer Komposition erklären sich die KünstlerInnen mit diesen Bedingungen einverstanden.

The Goethe-Institut of Belgrade, the ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics Karlsruhe, Götz Naleppa (producer and media artist), Programme 3 of Radio Belgrade, the European Broadcasting Union’s Ars Acustica Group and Deutschlandradio Kultur warmly invite you to take part in the following project:
EUROPE – A SOUND PANORAMA
This is a call to all European sound artists to compose a contribution made up of acoustic impressions of a European venue or landscape selected by them and rendered in artistic form. No contribution should exceed five minutes in duration. The aim of this project is to produce a sound composition which conveys an impression of the particularities of different parts of Europe.
The composition should meet the following prerequisites:
– Genre: electroacoustic music / radiophonic sound art
– Theme: sounds of places and/or landscapes in Europe
– Duration: 5 min. maximum
– Format: mp3 – 192 kbit/s
– Deadline for submission: 15 February 2011
A jury shall select the ten best entries by April 2011 and invite their composers to a workshop in Karlsruhe from 17 to 22 October 2011. On the basis of their contributions and together with the workshop leader, Thomas Köner, prizewinning sound and media artist, participants will put together a European sound panorama which forms a whole, but whose individual parts will still be recognizable with their varied and particular aspects.
The ten individual entries and the overall composition will be presented in public at the ZKM in Karlsruhe on 22 October 2011 as well as at other venues and will be transmitted by participating radio broadcasters. The acoustic art work “Europe – A Sound Panorama” will be the result of an intercultural exchange on how Europe is perceived.
The artists shall receive a separate fee for the broadcast première of the sound panorama on Deutschlandradio Kultur. All other transmissions shall be free of costs for EBU Members. By submitting their composition, the artists declare that they agree with these terms.

EUROPA – UN PANORAMA SONORE
Les artistes européens d’art sonore sont invités à composer une oeuvre traduisant sous une forme artistique les impressions acoustiques d’un lieu ou d’un paysage de leur choix en Europe. Les contributions ne doivent pas durer plus de 5 minutes. Le but est de produire une composition d’art sonore reflétant les particularités des diverses composantes de l’Europe.
Les oeuvres doivent répondre aux exigences suivantes:
• Genre: musique électroacoustique / art sonore radiophonique
• Thème: sons de lieux et/ou paysages d’Europe
• Durée: max. 5 minutes
• Format: mp3 – 192 kbit/s
• Date limite de remise: 15 février 2011
Un jury choisira les dix meilleures contributions d’ici avril 2011 et invitera leurs auteurs à un atelier qui aura lieu du 17 au 22 octobre 2011 à Karlsruhe.
En collaboration avec le responsable de l’atelier (Thomas Köner, artiste multimédia plusieurs fois récompensé), les participants réaliseront avec leurs œuvres un “panorama sonore de l’Europe” qui formera un tout artistique mais dont chaque élément demeurera reconnaissable dans sa différence et sa singularité.
Les dix oeuvres individuelles et l’oeuvre d’ensemble seront présentées le 22 octobre 2011 au ZKM ainsi que dans d’autres lieux, et seront également retransmises par les radios participant au projet. L’œuvre d’art sonore « Panorama sonore de l’Europe » est le fruit d’un échange interculturel sur la perception de l’Europe.
Pour la première diffusion du « Panorama sonore » sur Deutschlandradio Kultur, les artistes ont droit à une rétribution. Toutes les autres diffusions sont gratuites pour les Membres de l’UER. Toute inscription d’une œuvre implique que l’artiste accepte les présentes conditions.
