Subject: 11. Internationales Klangkunstfest Berlin

Call for works
11th International Sound Art Festival Berlin is looking for an
electroacoustic music work referring to this year’s topic
>listening::multisensorial< to be performed at the opening.

Yearly International Sound Art Festival Berlin at its 10 years
anniversary aims to play with and to investigate the interdependence of
audio reception with the other senses in contemporary sound art and new
music. From September 17 to October 2, 2014 it presents world premieres
and numerous new works in five concerts and a related sound art
exhibition. This additionally is counterpointed by soundwalks and
discussed in an international symposium with music, art historians and
the artists.

Human perception works predominantly through comprehension. The piece
should reflect in one or the other way influences the other senses have
on listening – in general or in a special case. The composition is to be
performed at the opening on a loudspeaker environment in the outside,
expected duration: 4-12 minutes.

Please send your piece (stereo version) as mp3 file via dropbox,
wetransfer, mydrive etc. to artistic director Thomas Gerwin
