The Bangor Dylan Thomas Prize

for Electroacoustic Composition

The Bangor Dylan Thomas Prize has been organized as part of the Dylan
Thomas 100 festival, a year-long celebration of the life and work of
Welsh poet Dylan Thomas in the 100^th year since his birth.

Composers of any age and nationality are invited to submit fixed
medium sound compositions for fixed medium only, of between two and
thirty-two channels. The compositions should be inspired by or relate
explicitly to the literary works of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (1914-1953).

A maximum of three works will selected as finalists in the
competition, and performed as part of a special concert to be held in
Bangor, North Wales, on 28th October 2014. During the concert the
audience will be asked to vote to select one of the works as the prize
winner, with the result being announced at the end of the concert. The
winning work will be awarded a prize of £750.

There is no entry fee.

Deadline for entries: Friday 12th September 2014.
