Der Berliner Konzertpianist Jan Gerdes und der Berliner Elektronikkünstler und Technoproduzent Frank Bogdanowitz alias Dr.Nojoke gründeten *rand* Anfang 2018. Jan Gerdes, der als Pianist sowohl das klassisch-romantische als auch zeitgenössische Repertoire beherrscht, hat mit einigen der führenden Komponisten unserer Zeit wie Karlheinz Stockhausen, Helmut Lachenmann und Wolfgang Rihm zusammengearbeitet und lehrt an der Universität Potsdam sowie an den Musikhochschulen Hanns Eisler Berlin und Mannheim. Frank Bogdanowitz alias Dr.Nojoke performt seit vielen Jahren erfolgreich auf ausgewählten Festivals elektronischer Musik wie Club Transmediale (Berlin), Boom Festival (Portugal), Piknic Electronik (Montreal), im ARMA 17 (Moskau) und hat sich durch seinen eigenständigen, experimentellen Stil einen Namen gemacht, den er auch auf seinem eigenen Label Cllkno repräsentiert. Beiden Künstlern gemein ist die Faszination für die Grenzbereiche zeitgenössischer Klaviermusik und experimenteller Club-Elektronik und die akustische und performative Verschränkung des individualisierten, poetischen und lyrischen Klavierklangs mit den überwältigenden, orchestralen und bizarren Klanglandschaften elektronischer Musik. In diesem Spannungsfeld analoger und digitaler Sounds treffen einsame Klavierlinien auf bedrohliche `dronige` Klangwände, repetitive Klavierpatterns bestehen neben kristallinen elektronischen Impulsen und lassen phantastische Atmosphären und Klangszenarien aber auch Räume mannigfaltiger Schönheit, Poesie und Stille entstehen.
Audiovisionen ist eine Plattform für akustische, elektronische und elektroakustische Live-Musik, in den Räumen der Zwingli Kirche, Berlin. Kuratiert von Hannes Teichmann, als Teil des Programms des Kulturraum-Zwingli Kirche e.V.

The Berlin concert pianist Jan Gerdes and the Berlin electronic artist and techno producer Frank Bogdanowitz alias Dr.Nojoke founded *rand* at the beginning of 2018. Jan Gerdes, who as a pianist has mastered both the classical-romantic and contemporary repertoire, has collaborated with some of the leading composers of our time, such as Karlheinz Stockhausen, Helmut Lachenmann and Wolfgang Rihm, and teaches at the University of Potsdam as well as at the Hanns Eisler Music Colleges in Berlin and Mannheim. Frank Bogdanowitz alias Dr.Nojoke has been performing successfully for many years at selected electronic music festivals such as Club Transmediale (Berlin), Boom Festival (Portugal), Piknic Electronik (Montreal), ARMA 17 (Moscow) and has made a name for himself with his own experimental style, which he also represents on his own label Cllkno. What both artists have in common is a fascination for the frontiers of contemporary piano music and experimental club electronics and the acoustic and performative interweaving of individualized, poetic and lyrical piano sound with the overwhelming, orchestral and bizarre soundscapes of electronic music. In this field of tension between analog and digital sounds, lonely piano lines meet threatening `dronic` sound walls, repetitive piano patterns exist next to crystalline electronic impulses and create fantastic atmospheres and sound scenarios as well as spaces of manifold beauty, poetry and silence.
Audiovisionen is a platform for acoustic, electronic, and electroacoustic live music, taking place at the Zwingli church in Berlin. Curated by Hannes Teichmann as part of the program of KulturRaum Zwingli-Kirche e.V.
