hello people,
I’m working on a large-scale piece, where numbers will have some importance, and would very like to get numbers from languages all over the world. if some of you would be kind enough to record themselves or other people saying a bunch of numbers in their native tongue (anything you want from “zero” to “hundreds of billions” should suffice) and send them to me (nicodria@hotmail.com) in whatever form through whatever channel, that would be quite helpful.
some info about this for you to consider:
a first batch of recordings before next month (August) would be great 🙂 .
of course this implies I might use these recordings as material for the composition – so please send them only if you’re okay with that.
if you wish for you and/or the person whose voice was recorded to be credited, please mention it.
some parts/movements of the piece will be politically engaged (mostly against discriminations of all kinds – sexism, racism, homophobia, speciesism…) – so if you don’t want your recordings to be used in these contexts while being ok with them being used elsewhere in the piece, please mention it when sending.
the full piece should be finished by May 22nd 2060 (fingers crossed, since this is the title of the piece), but parts/movements of it will be released before that.
