Betreff: SuperCollider Meeting @ IEM Graz, January 20th
…
For the third time a one-day SC meeting is scheduled at the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics at University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Austria. We are happy to announce that Ron Kuivila, currently guest artist at IEM Graz within the ALMAT project (https://almat.iem.at) and one of the SC community’s long-time developers, will be with us and speak about his work „Listening to the Air“. The piece, which he is developing during his ALMAT residence, is a live electronic work focused on the directionality of ultrasound and its susceptibility to air fluctuations and makes extensive use of SuperCollider’s signal processing capabilities.
Hanns Holger Rutz will talk about the ALMAT project and developments regarding Patterns in the Scala client. Daniel Mayer will talk about new DX (demand crossfade) ugens from the miSCellaneous_lib quark (https://github.com/dkmayer/miSCellaneous_lib) and their applications like crossfaded playback, spatialization, granulation and others. There will be enough time for open discussion as well, see the schedule below.
The event is open to all interested people, students and colleagues as well as the SC community in Austria and abroad. If you intend to attend or have any questions please contact me: mayer@iem.at
