Betreff: on until 15.02. Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof- hyperMOODbox
Dear friends, colleagues,
For all who will be travelling through Frankfurt this week, there is a box in the Hauptbahnhof in the entrance hall- the hyperMOODbox designed and spraypainted by Marc Behrens, with an audio/video installation by Marc Behrens (video) and myself and Julia Mihály (music).
There are buttons with emojis inside (constructed by MESO Digital Interiors GmbH). You are to choose a „mood“/ emoji and press the button that reflects your mood. You can watch the music videos from start to finish(they play in loop) or you can mix them, switching between moods and making your own music video. When you press repeatedly on one button effects are applied to the video and music. (programming done in PureData/GEM).
The songs and videos are designed after models of songs from the 80’s, when the first music videos appeared which summoned emotions or stories that for the viewer could always thereafter be inseparably associated with the music. The sounds from our songs come from field recordings in Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Hauptbahnhof, and all images from the films were also recorded there. The hyperMOODbox is a playful exploration of how design can influence how we experience an environment or object.
We hope some of you will be passing through Frankfurt, Darmstadt or Wiesbaden and can experience the hyperMOODbox.
