Liebe Kollegen und Studierende, liebe Interessenten an Veranstaltungen
am Fachgebiet Audiokommunikation,
am kommenden Dienstag 3.11.2020, 16:00 Uhr s.t. (Zoom) wird Malte
Schneider seine Masterarbeit zum Thema „Embedding a Voice Control
Function in an Enterprise Ressource Planning Software“ in englischer
Sprache präsentieren.
Dazu möchten wir Sie sehr herzlich einladen. Eine Kurzzusammenfassung

Malte Schneider: Embedding a Voice Control Function in an Enterprise
Ressource Planning Software
This master’s thesis describes the practice-oriented development process
of a voice assistant embedded in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
system to enable a handsfree interaction in a workshop environment. In
general an ERP-System enables to manage the resources of a company.
Tasks like inventory management, procurement processing and knowledge
management are typical representatives for an ERP System. First of all,
the basics of web development and speech recognition are explained. Then
the voice assistant market is analyzed in order to select a speech API
suitable for the project and to identify the necessary basic components
for building a voice assistant. On this theoretical basis, the designed
user interface and the skills of the voice assistant are presented. The
functional relationships between the language assistant and the ERP
system are then exemplarily explained on the code level. This is
followed by a test of the stability of the voice assistant. The thesis
ends with subsequent considerations on optimization approaches.
