The virtual version of the NYCEMF 2021 (New York Electroacoustic Music Festival) is online between June 21 and 27.
BTHVN/KTZR und das Jahr 2020, my newest acousmatic composition (stereo) is included in the Festival.

2020 was both the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth and would have been Georg Katzer’s 85th birthday. Katzer (1935–2019), a pioneer of electroacoustic music in the former German Democratic Republic, composed ‚postscriptum B. 1, 2 and 3‘ for cello and piano in 2017 and dedicated it to Beethoven. The piece is an homage to both Beethoven and Georg Katzer, confronting listeners not only with Beethoven’s music (most importantly, with his challenging situation as a deaf composer), but also introducing in the second half 16x fleeting passages from Katzer’s composition.
