This week at ZKM Karlsruhe, INSONIC 2017 presents the German Premiere of my composition:
“Spatial Grains – Soundscape No 1”, acousmatic music (original for 134 loudspeakers and 4 LFEs)

This imaginary acousmatic soundscape was composed and produced for diffusion with the High-Density Loudspeaker Array (HDLA) of 134 + 4 inside the CUBE concert hall (Moss Arts Center, Virginia Tech, US) in August 2015 during a residency. The diffusion creates Multiples Spatial Settings, as described by Smalley’s article about Spectromorpholgy, using my own diffusion system called Granular Spatialisation combined with Ambisonics. The version presented at the »inSonic2017: Immersive Future« features Granular Spatialisation and ICST ambisonics adapted for diffusion with 43 + 4 LFEs system of the ZKM’s KUBUS HDLA.
