Betreff: [cec-c] To The Red Sky – acousmatic work on WWI

For anyone in or around Leicester (UK) next Wednesday, 27 February, I’m showing this work in the PACE Building, Studio 2, at De Montfort University: 2pm, 3pm, 4pm.
Duration is 60 minutes.

It’s part of the University’s cultural eXchanges festival – admission is free and you can book here https://www.dmu.ac.uk/cultural-exchanges-festival/index.aspx

To the Red Sky is an immersive journey in sound, using oral histories of men and women who survived WWI (courtesy of the Imperial War Museum) and was first realised in 2014 in a version for Carla Rees (also flute), Heather Roche (clarinets) and Xenia Pestova (piano) with multichannel digital audio. This version is a standalone 16 channel audio work.
