the date of the second improv@CIRMMT in the English version was incorrect, it is on Thursday 25th of
April 2019 and not in March. Here is the full and correct call:

for Participation: Two improv@CIRMMT concerts

CIRMMT members,
We
are announcing a call for participation for two improv@CIRMMT events coming up in early 2019.
1)
Improv@CIRMMT Concert #1: Tuesday,
January 15th, 2019 at Cafe Resonance.
Featuring: Game pieces including John Zorn’s “Cobra” improvisation game, and other suggestions of game pieces based on improvisation.
We are looking for a group of skilled improvisers who would like to perform Zorn’s “Cobra” as part of an ensemble. Also propositions of specific game pieces to consider are welcome.
2)
Improv@CIRMMT Concert #2: Thursday,
April 25th, 2019 at Cafe Resonance
Duets
– improvisational collaboration with music technologies and instruments
This call is for participants who would like to contribute a short improvisatory set (10 min ~) that incorporates music technology on some level and to create electronic-acoustic duets.
If
you are interested in participating, please send an email to ofer.pelz@gmail.com
or takuto.fukuda@mail.mcgill.ca letting us know which of the events interests you, as well as the details about what you plan to contribute.
Please contact us with ideas by Dec.
1st 2018.

Improv@CIRMMT Concert n ° 1: mardi
15 janvier 2019 au Café Résonance.
Avec le jeu d’improvisation, „Cobra“ de John Zorn et d’autres propositions de pièces de jeu seront considérés.
Nous recherchons un groupe d’improvisateurs qualifiés qui voudrait réaliser le « Cobra » de Zorn. Nous allons considérer aussi des propositions spécifiques pour d’autres jeux d’improvisation.

Improv @ CIRMMT Concert n ° 2: jeudi
25 avril 2019 au Café Résonance
Duos – une collaboration improvisée avec des technologies et instruments numériques.
Pour le deuxième concert, nous recherchons des participants qui souhaitent contribuer à un court set d’improvisation (10 min ~) intègrant la technologie musicale à un certain niveau (préférable) et la création d’un duo (électronique – acoustique).
