DEGEM News – NEWS – Research openings at NYU’s Music and Audio Research Lab

We are looking for 2 researchers to join the Music and Audio Research Laboratory (MARL) at New York University:

• 1 postdoctoral research associate to work on machine listening for urban sound analysis as part of the Sounds of New York City (SONYC) project, a large NSF-funded project that aims to monitor, analyze, and mitigate urban noise pollution. • 1 postdoctoral associate / research engineer to work on two new urban sensing platforms (acoustic and multi-modal) in New York City as part of both the Sounds of New York City (SONYC) and the Reconfigurable Environmental Intelligence Platform (REIP) projects. Both positions are for 2 years with $70K starting salaries plus benefits. The successful candidates for both positions will join the Music and Audio Research Laboratory (MARL) and the Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) at New York University, working as part of a team led by Juan Pablo Bello.
