Darén Bakke (Hannover) spielt songs of syphilis (2018) for Toy Piano and live audience with varying attention span (world premiere)
I will be celebrating my 19th 😉 birthday this year in a very special way, with a premiere at the festival „Marktmusik“ in Gifhorn.
The piece I have written for Darén Bakke and the market at Gifhorn is a study of various songs about syphilis from Great Britain and North America spanning the 18th to the mid-20th Century.
The behaviour of the audience has a direct effect on the density and material of the piece.
In the programme are also pieces by Robin Hoffmann, Sami Klemola and Anda Kryeziu.
The festival from Musik21 Niedersachsen is full of exciting premieres and performances that take place in unusual spaces all over Gifhorn.
