hello esteemed experimental music afficianado,
just a short note for those who may be interested in coming out this
weekend to hear some fine music in duisburg:
i’m playing twice at the traumzeit festival in the lovely
landsschaftspark. once on saturday in a duo with peter bolte on saxes/
flutes accompanied by nineteen string players from the duisburg
philharmonic. peter was commissioned to write this piece, which is to
combine traditional scoring/arranging, improvisation & live sampling &
processing. we’re playing in a beautiful room, should be a lovely
evening.

on sunday i’m playing there with the dorf, the
freerockjazznoiseambient improvisors collective/big band under the
direction of jan klare. this is the band that inspired the
(relatively) recent invention of energy drinks, look it up on
wikipedia. anyways, come see the real thing on sunday, on stage,
outdoors, you won’t be disappointed.
i would be delighted to see the one or other of you there over the
course of the weekend!
