realised together with the Berlin based poet Florian Neuner.

Snippets of 700 different outdoor recordings are used alongside textual excerpts from Cage’s „for the birds“ that were recorded with eight speakers.
Voices: John Cage, Jörg Gruneberg, Urs Jaeggi, Bruni Muenz, Harald Muenz, Florian Neuner, Sigrid Sachse, Christian Steinbacher, Liesl Ujvary

Camilla Hoitenga/Claudia Robles – Toward the Silence (2011, rev. 2012)

Toward the Silence is a collaboration of two artists creating an environment with the sounds of flutes, their voices, electronics
and video, proposing a journey of sound to silence while exploring aural and visual “detours” along the way.

Claudia Robles (live electronics and video), Camilla Hoitenga (flute)

John Cage – Litany for the Whale (1980)

This quiet piece unfolds over 25 minutes without any dynamic change. Cage composed it in 1980 as a recitation and 32 responses for 2 equal voices without vibrato.
The five individual letters from the word WHALE are separately assigned the pitches D, C, B, G, A, and always new „words“ created as responses from this inventory.

Nicole Ferrein (soprano)
