Liebe Kollegen und Freunde der spatialisierten Computermusik,

ich darf auf die folgende Kompositionsausschreibung für den in den letzten 10 Jahren am IEM entwickelten und auf vielen Festivals vorgestellten IEM/Sonible-Ikosaederlautsprecher, kurz IKO, aufmerksam machen.

Dort findet man jetzt zum Herunterladen eine virtuelle Version des HOA-basierten Klangprojektors (vIKO), mit der man das skulpturale Abstrahlverhalten des Lautsprechers für Kopfhörer binaural simuliert bekommt.
Diese Virtualisierung für Kopfhörer ermöglicht uns, zum Komponieren für den IKO auch all jene einzuladen, die weder IKO noch Raum zur Verfügung haben.
Weitere Informationen zum IKO, der künstlerischen Forschung des IEM im Projekt OSIL, sowie der seit Oktober 2017 laufenden Herstellung durch die Firma Sonible stehen auf http://www.iem.at/osil zur Verfügung.

Dear colleagues and friends of spatialised computer music,
I would like to draw your attention to this call for compositions for and with the IKO (IEM-Sonible Icosahedral Loudspeaker), that was developed over the last 10 years at IEM and presented at many international festivals.

Here you will find the virtual version of the HOA-based sound projector (vIKO) with which you can simulate the sculptural projection behaviour of the loudspeaker binaurally for headphones.
This virtualisation for headphones allows us to invite everyone to compose for the IKO, also to whom neither loudspeaker nor space is available.
Further information on the IKO, the artistic research of the group OSIL at IEM, as well manufacturing of the IKO established in October 2017 by the company Sonible is provided on our website http://www.iem.at/osil.
