Mit „Gefahrensignal Schild 164“ erscheint ein neuer und exklusiver Track
meines Musique Concrète / Industrial-Projektes Schachtanlage Gegenort
auf der aktuellen Compilation zum 25-jährigen Jubiläum des Labels HANDS.

Seit 1996 entstehen unter dem Namen Schachtanlage Gegenort Stücke aus
Audioaufnahmen, die ich unter Tage, an Hochöfen, in Eisenhütten und
Stahlwerken
und anderen Stätten der Montanindustrie mache.
Nachdem ich meine beiden ersten Alben aka Schachtanlage Gegenort Ende
der 90er Jahre
selbst veröffentlicht habe, war ich im Jahr 2000 erstmalig auf einer
HANDS-Compilation vertreten.
Im Jahr 2003 realisierte ich eine 9-Kanal-Klanginstallation im Rahmen
des FORMS OF HANDS Festivals
in der Maschinenhalle der Zeche Zweckel in Gladbeck.
Es folgten die Alben „41 Jahre“ (2005) und „aufgelassen“ (2010).
Außerdem sind Titel von mir auf den Compilations “Forms of Hands 2004“
(2004) und
„Xabec Transformed“ (2008) zu hören.

Looking back on a history of 25 years, it’s more than appropriate to
celebrate HANDS properly as a pioneering label for contemporary
electronic music.
So rather than dabbling in retrospective, it’s a state-of-the-art, and a
view into the future of HANDS, with 48 tracks on lavishly packaged four
CDs,presenting a diversity of individual electronic styles, united in
the desire for progress.
HANDS (founded by Udo Wießmann in 1990) is looking back on a catalogue
of more than 300 CDs, vinyls, tapes, DVDs and VHS, as well as 15 annual
FORMS OF HANDS label festivals and three HANDS LABEL NIGHTS. Initially
associated with pioneering the rhythm’n’noise style, HANDS is also
respected for their releases in genres as diverse as techno,
drum’n’bass, ambient, IDM, industrial hardcore.
The limited first edition of 25 YEARS OF HANDS comes in an oversize art
book style heavy carton CD cover with embossing designed by Nicola Bork.
