Dear friends and music lovers,
We are really happy to continue with our Kiezsalon series this year at Berlin’s Musikbrauerei.
Since early 2015 the Kiezsalon has offered a forum for innovative musical activity beyond genre boundaries. As an interface between advanced pop music, avantgarde and interdisciplinary art the series presents compact performances by artists from diverse genres, origin and status – initiated by Digital in Berlin and based at one of the last authentic locations in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, the 120 year old Schneider Brewery. Following two exciting years the Kiezsalon has established itself as a popular and successful series, so far hosting 47 artists from 22 different countries: http://www.kiezsalon.de

We also published a photo book of the 2016 edition. The online version can already be found here: http://www.kiezsalon.de/TheBook2016.pdf
You can get the printed version at the opening on Wednesday, 26 April 2017 with Stella Chiweshe from Zimbabwe, the woman now known by her people as Ambuya Chinyakare (Grandmother of Traditional Music) and Greg Fox, the extraordinary drummer from the New York metal band Liturgy (+ ZS, Ben Frost, Colin Stetson etc.) who is about to release a solo album out on RVNG Intl.
