Betreff: [cec-c] Fwd: Please donate on Hatchfund to support the world premiere recording of James Tenney’s Changes: 64 Studies for 6 Harps.
Hi Montreal friends and colleagues,
I am writing because Adrian started a Hatchfund fundraiser for a project that is very close to my heart, and a large part of the James Tenney Estate’s recent work: preserving, documenting, and making available Jim’s music. Over the next 5 weeks we will be working on raising $22,000 to fund the world premiere recording of Jim’s Changes: 64 Studies for 6 Harps. I hope you can support this project in any way possible for you; we need donations of course, but we also need lots of help getting the word out. If you can do either we would be very grateful.
Here is the link to the project site. https://www.hatchfund.org/project/world_premiere_recording_of_james_tenneys_changes_64_studies_for_6_harps
On this project site are a short video Adrian made about the project, a text description of the project, and numerous photos and scores. There are also some wonderful links to youtube playlists of Jim’s music, and appearances in films (starting with Stan Brakhage’s Desistfilm, Jim @ 20).
If you are able to share this link in any way with people in your circle who may have supported you, or people you know would want to support Jim Tenney’s music, it will help us out tremendously. We have already raised over $5,000 of the $22,000 we need
Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for Jim and his music. We are very grateful to have you in our support network and hope we can return the favor and return the love.
