Betreff: Next three Kiezsalon dates in 2017
Dear friends and music lovers,
Following a summer-break, Kiezsalon continues into autumn with three further installments. Starting off in late September, we have the Ectoplasm Girls from Sweden, a project by Nadine and Tanya Byrne, who will be joined by French sound-poet Félicia Atkinson. The very next week, Kiezsalon returns with a triple-bill featuring the British trio Ex-Easter Island Head, the American songwriter Ashley Paul, as well as the performance of „NaN Collider“, a mixed-media work conceived by the Portuguese duo João Martinho Moura and António Rafael. Finally, we’re thrilled to present Hamburg-based pop-sensation Sophia Kennedy as well as a surprise guest for this year’s last date on 8th November. Since early 2015 the Kiezsalon has offered a forum for innovative musical activity beyond genre boundaries. As an interface between advanced pop music, avantgarde and interdisciplinary art the series presents compact performances by artists from diverse genres, origin and status – initiated by Digital in Berlin and based at one of the last authentic locations in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, the 120 year old Schneider Brewery. Following two exciting years the Kiezsalon has established itself as a popular and successful series, so far hosting 58 artists from 25 different countries. http://www.kiezsalon.de
