October 2015
Oct 2015 CKCU Funding Drive [2015 is CKCU’s 40^th anniversary]
Greetings everyone, this is my once a year request for you to support
CKCU – the October playlist is below.
Please show your tangible support that Acoustic Frontiers should
continue to air your music > $10 – $25 – $50 – any amount will show
that you support Acoustic Frontiers and my efforts to continue to
broadcast this/your music.
From anywhere in the world you can do this easily and securely through
our web site – http://www.ckcufm.com/ – you can make donations with
either VISA or MASTERCARD or PayPal.
Acoustic Frontiers is in the 10^th year of airing this music and I’m
delighted that so many composers from all over the world are sending
music for the program. CKCU and Acoustic Frontiers is one of the very
few stations/programs in the world that exclusively airs this kind of
music every week.
CKCU fm is a community based, non-profit station and a registered
charity that relies on our listeners for financial support to keep us
on air. And that support is very significant, providing about 1/3 of
our operating budget. Once a year we hold a funding drive as the only
method we have to obtain that funding.
Your music is vital to me in keeping the program current and it is
available 24/7 by way of our On Demand program archive made possible
by your financial support in the past. Click on –
http://cod.ckcufm.com/programs/46/info.html – you will see that there
is now well over one year of Acoustic Frontiers archived programs that
you can listen to. We know that many of you do listen from all over the
world using the On Demand feature!
So, this is my once a year – and only once a year – request for anyone
who can, to provide a financial donation to the station, on behalf of
Acoustic Frontiers.
Your music is important to me. Your financial support is as well.
