The Music Department at Colorado College invites applications for a 1-year (non-tenure track) visiting assistant professorship in music and technology for the 2017-2018 academic year. The emphasis of this position is on interdisciplinary and digital creativity within the liberal arts. Colorado College is committed to increasing the diversity of the college community; candidates who can contribute to that goal are particularly encouraged to apply, identifying experiences that will add to that diversity.
The ideal candidate will bring an intellectual approach to the history and literature of music and technology, offering courses such as digital music production and digital creativity. Preference will be given to candidates with coding experience. We are particularly interested in candidates willing to support the core content courses of the music department through a secondary area of interest, in addition to their individual areas of expertise.
