Postgraduate Scholarships and Bursaries at City University London
University Doctoral Studentships
Each year, City University London provides a number of fully-funded, full-time, three-year Doctoral Studentships to outstanding candidates as part of its ongoing investment in academic excellence. The University is offering up to 50 University Doctoral Studentships (comprising a full tuition fee waiver, annual bursary of £16,000, and research allowance of £1000) for entry in 2014/15. Applications for PhD study in composition (including studio composition, live electronics, and sound art) are welcome.

MA Funding
In addition to our existing MA pathways (Music, Ethnomusicology, Composing for Moving Images), the Music department is offering a new MA in Composition pathway from 2014. This programme allow students to develop their skills within the broad field of contemporary composition, encompassing notated and digital music, sound arts, improvisation, and interdisciplinary practices. The Robert Anderson Scholarship provides a full-fee waiver at UK/EU rates. International students are eligible to apply and if successful will have the equivalent UK/EU fee amount deducted from the international fee.
In addition, 15 bursaries of £1,500 each are available for Home/EU applicants.
The deadline for applications for scholarship and bursaries is Thursday 17th April 2014.
