SUBMISSION PROTOCOL

submissions are to be made ONLY by responding with the following text
and the appropriate information filled in. DO NOT SEND ME MS WORD FILES
(or other text documents or facebook messages) — include all requested
information in the body of your email response.

1. COMPOSER AND PIECE

fill in the following info:
composer name:
nationality:
composer website:

piece title:
year of composition:
duration:

2. RELATION TO MINIATURE FORM

describe in a minimum 50 to a maximum 100 words what makes your piece a
miniature — on a technical, aesthetic, philosophical or whateverical
level. this does not have to be a print-ready academic text, it is for
my use only.

you may wish to consult the following file, which is neither definitive
nor complete but might help position your work in the context of my
(evolving) perspective on miniature form:

3. BIOGRAPHY

maximum 100-150 words. seriously. do not just send your 1200-word bio
and 14-page CV, as these will be categorically ignored.

your bio should address your creative work: i really don’t care about
all the people/ensembles/institutions/festivals who have played your
pieces and who has commissioned you and who has given you money and all
the fabulous places you have studied and done residencies; but do tell
me about YOU and YOUR WORK!

4. PROGRAMME NOTE

maximum 100-150 words. seriously. epic ramblings and anything that
resembles the sorts of texts found on
will quite simply be ignored.

5. AUDIO FILE

a 320 kbps mp3 version of your piece named
„yourlastname_titlekeyword.mp3“ should be included in the email with
your submission information.

alternatively:
– upload it to your own server (send me the direct link); or
– set up a folder titled „familyname_miniature-CMMAS“ on
that contains only the mp3 and send me an invitation. NB i will not
sign up to other file sharing sites to access your file (making this
submission work is your responsibility, not mine ;-)).

TERMS AND DISCLAIMER-ISH KIND OF STUFF

sending me a piece is no guarantee of its inclusion on the programme.

if your work is performed in the concert, no compensation will be
offered by the me or by CMMAS but you will receive proper documentation
of the event.

all pieces will be kept as research materials for my ongoing exploration
of miniature form and may be referred to in a text on miniature form
that i may some day actually manage to finish (!).

i promise all contributors to this project that i will eat massive
amounts of tacos with sides of cebollitas asadas in the days leading up
to the concert.
