American University College of Arts and Sciences Department of
Performing Arts Audio Technology Program
The Audio Technology Program in the College of Arts and Sciences at
American University invites applications for a full-time, one-year term
position as Program Director beginning Fall 2014. Applicants should have
the ability to teach courses in one or more of the following
specializations: music recording and production, live sound, sound for
film, sound synthesis, broadcast audio, and audio equipment and system
design. Program Director duties include course planning and program
leadership. Other responsibilities include student mentoring, graduate
capstone advising, and participation in departmental service activities.
Applicants must have significant professional experience. A graduate
degree in audio technology or a related discipline is required, PhD
preferred.
