Alla receives this title in recognition of a lifetime of exceptional achievement in musical creation, education and organisation, through a combination of artistic vision, craftsmanship and dedication which has developed under often highly challenging circumstances, and which forms a luminous example of commitment that continues to inspire composers and listeners in our Conservatoire and elsewhere.
