BLAUES RAUSCHEN
launches satellites into orbit
With its satellites, BLAUES RAUSCHEN is extending its radius. Venues with an artistic connection to the festival take up its themes and questions and develop their own programmes around them. Satellites can take place during the festival as well as between festival editions. The respective organisers shape and produce their programmes independently. BLAUES RAUSCHEN provides the conceptual connection and supports communication through its own channels and festival mailing list.
At the centre are themes that BLAUES RAUSCHEN has explored since its beginnings: analogue and digital, electronic sound design, new technologies, experimental approaches to sound, and the interplay between music, space and audience.
The next satellite launches on 17 October at the Rabbit Hole Theatre in Essen: the Henning Neidhardt Trio meets RSN for a “Collaborative Ambient Jazz Improvisation”. Four musicians, shifting constellations, ambient, jazz and field recordings. What happens when electronic soundscapes, acoustic improvisation and space come together? Best to come along and find out for yourself.
There will also be an opening act. Who it is remains a secret for now.
