Berlin Confidential
Sunday, 8 February | Villa Elisabeth
|
The roaming music series presents a double bill with composer-pianist Kaan Bulak and cellist Ella van Poucke this Sunday. Bulak’s music sits between the melodic influences of classical concert halls and electronic club music. He performs with his ensemble, presenting works by Johann Sebastian Bach alongside original compositions.
He’s joined by acclaimed Dutch soloist Ella van Poucke, who has played with leading orchestras including the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Brussels Philharmonic.

Mihály Víg & Balaton
Sunday, 22 February | silent green
|
Hungarian musician Mihály Víg is best known for one of cinema’s great director–composer collaborations: his long-standing work with the late Béla Tarr, composing the scores for films including Damnation, Werckmeister Harmonies, and Satanstango. In 2023, we celebrated this legacy at our rescoring and screening of Satanstango, featuring Víg himself.
Beyond film, Víg was a central figure in Budapest’s underground music movement throughout the 1980s, most notably with his work in the band Balaton. On Sunday, 22 February, they will perform songs from the films of the late Béla Tarr and their own catalogue.
