Liebe Weggefährten und Interessierte,
es ist soweit: heute erscheint TIME BENDS!
Unser gemeinsames Album mit der wundervollen Perkussionistin Robyn Schulkowsky, mit der wir seit einigen Jahren an einer interaktiven Musik zwischen Perkussion und Live-Elektronik forschen.
Als wir uns 2017 kennengelernt haben, wussten wir nichts von Robyns Musik oder ihrer engen Zusammenarbeit und Freundschaft mit Komponisten wie John Cage, Christian Wolff, Morton Feldmann oder Iannis Xenakis.
Wir verstanden uns aber direkt so gut, dass wir uns zu einem gemeinsamen Konzert verabredet haben und nach weiteren Konzerten, bald auch ein Album aufnehmen wollten. Dass wir uns die Zeit dazu nehmen und Joey Baron (John Zorn, Laurie Anderson) als Produzenten gewinnen konnten, wäre ohne den Corona Shutdown sicher nicht möglich gewesen.

Time Bends wurde 2021 in Berlin live eingespielt, ohne Overdubs.
Aufgenommen von Adrian von Ripka, produziert von Joey Baron, mit tollen Liner Notes von Roland Schimmelpfennig und wundervoll gestaltet von Brenda Alamilla, erscheint das Album als Doppelvinyl im Gatefold-Cover und digital auf allen Kanälen.

Dear companions and interested people,
the time has come: today TIME BENDS is released!
Our joint album with the wonderful percussionist Robyn Schulkowsky, with whom we have been researching interactive music between percussion and live electronics for several years.
When we met in 2017, we knew nothing of Robyn’s music or her close collaboration and friendship with composers such as John Cage, Christian Wolff, Morton Feldmann or Iannis Xenakis.
But we understood each other so well that we immediately arranged to play a concert together and, after more concerts, soon wanted to record an album. The fact that we were able to take the time to do this and even win Joey Baron (John Zorn, Laurie Anderson) as a producer, would certainly not have been possible without the Corona Shutdown.

Release digital: 17.06.22 / Release 2 x 12″ vinyl: expected on 29.07.22
Time Bends was recorded live in Berlin in 2021, without overdubs.
Recorded by Adrian von Ripka, produced by Joey Baron, with great liner notes by Roland Schimmelpfennig and beautifully designed by Brenda Alamilla, the album will be released as a double vinyl in gatefold cover and digitally on all channels.
