Summer Lab 2026 is a two-week international laboratory for spatial sound, Ambisonics, and immersive audio, taking place 11-23 August 2026 at Heymannbaude in Kleinhennersdorf (Saxon Switzerland, Germany).
The programme opens with a three-day soundsystem assembly workshop (11-13 August), where participants will collectively build and calibrate the open-source OTTOsonics 24-channel Ambisonic system under the guidance of Manu Mitterhuber.
This is followed by a public opening concert (14.8.) and an eight-day symposium (15-22 August) featuring workshops on spatial audio, field recording, acoustic ecology, immersive listening, soundscape composition, and computational sound led by Ben Wesch, Ida Hiršenfelder (beepblip), Jakob Gille, Martin Ožvold, Anthea Caddy, and Marcin Pietruszewski.
