Latin Grammy registration of works
recorded and released during 2017-18

Dear Composer Colleagues,

If you are a composer from Latin America/Spain and/or of Latin American and/or Spanish descent and have released one or more recordings of your works during the period of June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018 your work may be eligible for consideration for the Latin Grammys in ether the best contemporary classical composition and/or the best classical album of the year categories.

The recordings do not have to be released on a record label just be available commercially whether by streaming, digital download, or physical CD. In order to register the works either the label (if applicable) or the composer (or other individual involved in the product) must be a member of the Latin Recording Academy.

In order for the recording to be considered for nomination and/or the award the work must be registered with the Latin Recording Academy (again by a member label or individual). The deadline to register works is May 15 and the process takes place on line. For more information about becoming a member of the Academy and/or the registration of works please visit https://www.latingrammy.com/en/my-membership

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you should have any questions and I will do my best to assist.

All the best,

Orlando
