Betreff: [cec-c] FW: The Passing of Prof Mark Ballora
Dear Friends and Colleagues in the ICAD community,
It is my melancholy duty to inform you of the unexpected passing of Prof. Mark Ballora, the host of ICAD 2018 at Penn State University. Mark has been involved with ICAD community since its beginning. With his passionate commitment to the intelligible melding of scientific endeavor and aesthetic sensibility, he was a respected colleague and, to many of us, an exuberant friend with an infectious smile.
> From Penn State:
Professor of Music Education, Ann Clements, who worked with Mark on the hosting ICAD2018, wrote:
His passing was sudden and unexpected leaving a huge void in the fabric of Penn State and with his family with his wife Agatha and 10-year-old son Ian.
Professor Barbora Korner, his Dean at Penn State wrote:
Mark was a bright star and a valued member of our faculty at Penn State. His legacy will live on in his family and his work.
He will be sorely missed by us all.
