Duties:
The successful candidate would be expected to: teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of sound recording, audio engineering, and music production, as well as in complementary areas of Performing Arts Technology such as audio signal processing, creative coding, spatial audio, virtual and augment reality, video game music and sound, technologically-mediated performance, or the history and aesthetics of music production, as needed; supervise undergraduate and graduate student theses and research projects; recruit students of high caliber; develop and maintain an active and nationally recognized profile as a recording engineer, music producer, performer, and/or researcher; participate in faculty governance responsibilities.

Qualifications:
The Department of Performing Arts Technology seeks an innovative practitioner and/or researcher in the area of sound recording, audio engineering, and music production. It is desirable for candidates to have additional interest, experience, and expertise in one or more complementary areas, such as technologically-mediated performance, composition, or improvisation; spatial audio; digital signal processing; creative coding; theory and analysis of electronic music; virtual and augmented reality; video game music and sound; video production / experimental visual media; or auditory perception.

The successful candidate must have a terminal degree in a relevant field prior to the start date or equivalent experience.

Applicants must be able to provide evidence of successful university teaching or promise of same.
